Pullman, Washington: Washington state coach Nick Rollovich has said he will not attend the site after choosing not to receive a Govt-19 vaccine on Pack-12 Media Day in Los Angeles in the coming weeks.
Since all participants will have to be fully vaccinated in the weeks leading up to the Pack-12 conference, I will be attending from a distance, eagerly waiting to talk about our football team and the incredible youngsters in our program, Rolovich wrote in a statement posted on Twitter on Wednesday. I have opted not to receive a Govt-19 vaccine for personal reasons. While I have made my own decision, I respect that every person, including our coaches, staff and student-athletes, can make their own decision regarding the COVID-19 vaccine.
Rollovic is set to begin his second season as head coach at Washington State after spending the previous four seasons in Hawaii. Washington State played just four games last season and included two games in the Apple Cup, which was canceled by rival Washington COVID-19 issues.
The State of Washington has stated that all students who engage in activities on campus during the 2021-22 academic year must provide proof of immunization with exceptions for medical, religious or personal reasons.
