Who is Priya Malik?

Priya Malik is an Indian fighter who won the Gold Medal in the 73 Kg category. Her competition took place in Hungary, where she was the first Indian to win the gold medal. She was trained by Anshu Malik.

Priya Malik Early Life

Priya is a resident of the Jind district of Haryana. His father was in the Indian Army and is also retired. His name is Jai Bhagwan Nidani.

Priya is a player from the Chaudhary Bharat Singh Memorial Sports School Nidan sports school. His coach’s name is Anshu Malik. In 2019, Priya Malik won the gold medal at Khelo India.

In 2020 Priya won gold at the National School Games. She won the gold medal at the National Cadet Wrestling Competition held in Patna in 2020. She has won medals in many competitions so far.

Priya Malik wins gold at the World Wrestling Championship

On July 25, 2021, Priya malik wins Gold for India at the World Wrestling Championships, held in Hungary in the 73kg category, after Mirabai Chanu won a Silver medal for India at the Tokyo Olympics.

She became the first athlete to win the gold medal for India at the World Wrestling Championships. At the championship held in Budapest, Hungary, Priya beat Belarus 5-0 and won gold at the 73kg cadet world wrestling championship.
