Pink is the stage name of Alecia Beth Moore who is an American singer and songwriter who first rose to fame in 2000. Pink was born and raised in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Her parents are Judy and James Moore. Her mother is a nurse and her father is a Vietnam War veteran. Initially, she was a part of the girl group Choice. Pink’s abilities attracted LaFace Records, who awarded her a solo recording contract in 1995. Her debut studio album Can’t Take Me Home was certified double-platinum in the United States and acquired two Billboard Hot 100 top-ten hits.

Songs like There You Go and Most Girls helped her get recognition in the music business. Moore’s second single, Missundaztood album sold more than 13 million copies worldwide which comprises international hit songs like Get the Party Started, Don’t Let Me Get Me, and Just Like a Pill. Pink won the Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for her third single, Try This (2003).
