
P.V. Nandhidhaa aka Pallathur Venkatachalam Nandhidhaa is an Indian chess player who holds the title of Woman Grandmaster. Nandhidhaa is one of the players in the 44th Chess Olympiad held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, from 28 July to 10 August. Recently she defeated her strong Georgia opponent Grand Master Nino Batsiashvili. She married her childhood friend and college Mate Naveen Kumar who is an Indian Army Officer. Nandhidhaa won the silver medal in the U-20 World Junior Chess Championship.
