Mamata Urges SC to Take Suo Moto Cognizance in Pegasus Case

West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday described the BJP as a ‘high-loaded viral party’, claiming that the central government had also tapped her phone with the help of Pegasus.

Judges, ministers, political leaders and journalists who tapped or spied on Mamata’s Supreme Court (SC) phone while delivering her speech at the TMC’s Annual Martyrs’ Day Rally (AKC July) from her Calicut home in South Kolkata.

“Sir, this is my humble request to you … please take self-moto knowledge in this matter against the Center because the judges’ phones were also tapped,” Mamta S.C.

He emphasized the importance of unity among opposition leaders to prevent the BJP from returning to power in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, saying, “I do not know what will happen in 2024, but we must begin preparations now. They (pointing to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi) are tapping our phones. Because the Pegasus is dangerous (when its cell phone glows) I put a tape on its (cell phone) camera. Since I am in the national capital from July 27 to July 29, I would like to request senior leaders like Sharad Pawarji to organize a meeting (leaders of the opposition) in Delhi. ”

He said, “We can not waste time, we have to act now against the BJP in view of the 2024 elections. To tell them ‘Azadi Kadre Mein Hai’ (Freedom is in danger) because the BJP government at the center. I want. We must now unite for the good of the country and its people. ”

Pointing to Prime Minister Modi, he said, “I have full respect for his chair. But sometimes I wonder if he knows what Amit Shah is doing, or if Amit Shah is doing it without any consultation with anyone. It is a shame that Prime Minister Modi has described Uttar Pradesh as the best state for floating bodies in the Ganges. We all know what Prime Minister Modi’s Gujarat model is நான் I do not want to highlight it. During the election, they mobilized all the central forces against us to capture Bengal, but I want to thank them for giving a decent response to my dear people of Bengal. ”

“Our country is going through an emergency due to the bad administration of Amit Shah and Modi ji. They have failed to deal with the Govt-19 situation. They have failed to control inflation. They want to catch judges through the Pegasus. They want to catch ministers. They want to catch opposition leaders. They want the media. They want to seize houses, they want to capture them all by ‘spygry’ In a democratic country like India, it is unfortunate that people like Shah and Modi are busy under surveillance, so let’s unite to save our country because we have only two and a half years (before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections). I felt that the coalition would not work, so, from now on we have to work on the 2024 mission.I will be a worker, I will follow your instructions, but before that come together and be at the center against this dangerous government We will fight, ”Mamta said.

This is the 28th year of ‘Shahid Diwas’. On July 21, 1993, 13 workers were killed in a rally on Mayo Road in Kolkata. It was seen as commemorating the sacrifices of 13 political activists along with other martyrs killed during the Left political regime.

Mamata’s virtual text was broadcast live in Varanasi, Mirzapur, Lucknow, Bareilly and Assam in Uttar Pradesh.
