Maitreyi Ramakrishnan is a Tamil-Candian film actress well known for her performance ( As Devi Vishwakumar) in Netflix seriesNever Have I Ever which is directed by Mindy Kaling. The second season of Never Have I Ever is streaming on Netflix from July 15, 2021. She is also a social media influencer who has more than 1.4 million followers (as of July 2021) on her Instagram account.
The Mindy Project is her debut series in the showbiz industry. The young girl received rave reviews for her performance in the Netflix series. Maitreyi attended the audition at Los Angeles and was selected among 15,000 candidates for a Devi role on Mindy Kaling’s Netflix comedy series Never have I Ever.
She used to write, direct and produce a play during her school days. She also starred in her high-school production of Chicago. According to reports, she comes from a Sri Lankan family. Maitreyi was very interested in animations, following through on her love of Disney and Marvel Comics.
She was also trained in Bharatanatyam and Ballet. In an interview, Ramakrishnan said I want other Tamils all over the world to feel pride that Tamil people are making it, We are doing it. And we are awesome.
