Jwala Gutta is an Indian retired badminton player (1990 to 2017). She has won around 316 international events in both mixed and women’s doubles. who is a most successful doubles specialist. Jwala Gutta is the national champion for fourteen times. Gutta has won medals at numerous tournaments on the BWF circuit including a silver at the 2009 Superseries Masters Finals and a bronze at the 2011 World Championships.

Jwala Gutta was born on 7 September 1983 in Wardha, Maharashtra, India. Her father’s name is Kranti Gutta, and her mother’s name is Yelen Gutta. She has a sister named Insi Gutta. her father introduced her to the National Badminton Coach, S. M. Arif. The coach asked her to learn Gymnastics and Swimming before starting her training for badminton. Later, she took her training in badminton from Arif at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium. Jwala Gutta made her first achievement in the Under-13 Girls Mini National Badminton. At the age of 17, she has won the Junior National Badminton Championship title in 2000. She also won the Women’s Doubles Junior National Championship and the Senior National Badminton Championship.
