Carrie Johnson was born on March 17, 1988 to Matthew Symonds, co-founder of The independentand Josephine Mcaffee, a lawyer who works for that newspaper. His paternal grandfather was John Beavan, Baron Ardwick (at one time editor of the Daily herald and later, during the 1970s, a Labor Party MEP), and his paternal grandmother was Anne Symonds, a BBC World Service journalist.

Johnson was raised by her mother in East Sheen, London, and between 1999 and 2006 she attended Godolphin and Latymer School, an independent day school for girls. He went on to the University of Warwick, where he studied art history and theater studies, completing his BA in 2009.

Carrie and Boris Johnson are expecting a second baby after miscarriage

Carrie Johnson, wife of UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, announced that the couple are expecting their second child in December. Carrie revealed that she was pregnant and suffered a miscarriage earlier this year in an Instagram post on Saturday.

“Expecting our rainbow baby this Christmas,” he wrote, referring to a child born after a miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death.

“At the beginning of the year, I had a miscarriage that left my heart broken. I feel incredibly blessed to be pregnant again, but I have also felt like a bag of nerves, “she wrote.

Carrie Johnson was previously in a relationship with British political journalist Harry Cole.

He reportedly began an affair with British politician Boris Johnson, then Foreign Secretary, in 2018, while he was still married to his second wife, Marina Wheeler. In July 2019, Boris became Prime Minister and both he and Carrie officially moved to 10 Downing Street. They had been the first unmarried couple of a prime minister who resided in Downing Street. The following month, he was barred from entering the United States because his visa application was rejected due to a previous visit to Somaliland, which the United States considers part of immigration-restricted Somalia.
