Lucknow: Former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, who kicked off his campaign for the 2022 Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, said on Thursday that the Samajwadi Party would win 351 seats and the BJP would be wiped out. The SP leader said that the “dreams of the BJP people” had not been fulfilled and that “the ruling party has thrown its ‘Sankalp-Bhadra’ in the tank.
Reaching Unnao on Tuesday in his ‘Election Rath’ (chariot), Akhilesh said, “The BJP can win 324 seats by misleading the public. Why can’t the Samajwadi Party win 351 seats by taking everyone together on the development issue?” . The Samajwadi Party will take all and unite all sections and move forward for the benefit of the people. ”
The SP leader targeted the Yogi government for managing the corona virus outbreak, saying, “The way the lock was imposed, the workers got into trouble and the people’s businesses collapsed. The BJP was busy in elections when people needed help. During the Corona period people did not have access to medicines, hospital beds and even oxygen. Millions of lives have been lost due to Govt-19. ”
He said unemployment and inflation had increased during the tenure of the BJP government and people were angry at the Kavi party.
With the arrival of Akhilesh Unnao, the Samajwadi Party began to operate on its public relations strategy. After reaching Unnao on Tuesday, Akhilesh unveiled the statue of the late Manohar Lal, a former minister. The event, organized at Manohar Lal Intermediate College, was attended by state president Naresh Uttam Patel, MLC Sunil Singh Sajan, Rajendra Chaudhary and former MPs and MLAs.
