King Akkineni Nagarjuna is back with another Bangarraju outing for Sankranthi. His last release was Wild Dog in April 2021. We have to go all the way back to 2019, when Nagarjuna last appeared in a typical commercial entertainer. The added bonus for Akkineni fans is the presence of Naga Chaitanya with Nag.
Bangarraju from the first poster and all the other promo material is screaming for a festival outing. A Sankranthi release was always meant to be, and as fate would have it, Bangarraju is the solo biggie for Sankranthi 2022.
In addition to Nagarjuna, Bangarraju has Naga Chaitanya in a parallel lead role. The latter is going through a great phase at the box office, with a string of successful films in succession. His presence is undoubtedly an important stimulus.
Krithi Shetty now has two successful films on the trot. She is aiming for a hat-trick with Bangarraju.
More than anyone else, Kalyan Krishna hopes for a comeback. His last film was a hit at the box office, but the first two films featuring the Akkineni heroes were successful. It will be a kind of hat trick for him if Bangarraju also succeeds.
